Mientras Ardía
Mientras Ardía surge de un proceso de impresión en risografía que partía de la lógica CMYK, pero que derivó hacia un resultado inesperado. Lo que en principio iba a construirse con cuatro canales cromáticos terminó reduciéndose a tres tintas —amarillo, rojo y azul—, decisión que eliminó el peso del negro y permitió que la imagen respirara de un modo más atmosférico y pictórico.
Mientras Ardía arises from a risograph printing process that started from the CMYK logic, but that derived towards an unexpected result. What in principle was going to be constructed with four chromatic channels ended up reducing to three inks —yellow, red and blue—, a decision that eliminated the weight of the black and allowed the image to breathe in a more atmospheric and pictorial way.
El proceso estuvo marcado por desajustes propios de la máquina RISO: bordes difusos, capas mal registradas y secados prematuros que generaron manchas y veladuras. Lo que podía haberse entendido como error técnico se transformó en una estrategia estética, donde el azar de la impresión evocó la fluidez de la acuarela y la vibración del gesto pictórico.
En este contexto, la máquina no solo imprime: también interpreta. La obra se convierte así en una negociación constante entre el archivo digital y la materialidad de la tinta, entre el control planificado y la deriva del proceso. Mientras Ardía no es únicamente una imagen final, sino la experiencia del color en transformación, un registro de cómo lo imprevisto puede convertirse en motor creativo.

The process was marked by misadjustments typical of the RISO machine: diffuse edges, poorly registered layers and premature dryings that generated stains and glazes. What could have been understood as technical error transformed into an aesthetic strategy, where the chance of the printing evoked the fluidity of the watercolor and the vibration of the pictorial medium.
In this context, the machine not only prints: it also interprets. The work thus becomes a constant negotiation between the digital file and the materiality of the ink, between the planned control and the drift of the process. Mientras Ardía is not only a final image, but the experience of color in transformation, a record of how the unforeseen can become a creative motor.
