Aerial Mapping Paths
La serie Aerial Mapping Paths se plantea como una investigación de la relación entre lo fotográfico, lo matérico y lo digital. El proceso comienza con fotografías y tintas al agua que, tras ser trabajadas y escaneadas, se integran sutilmente en Photoshop, manteniendo visibles las huellas de los pigmentos y las irregularidades del soporte original. Cada imagen funciona como un pequeño mapa aéreo, donde la naturaleza se entrelaza con texturas y superficies, proponiendo un recorrido visual que se sitúa entre la documentación y la invención.
The series Aerial Mapping Paths is conceived as an investigation into the relationship between the photographic, the material and the digital. The process begins with photographs and water-based inks which, after being worked and scanned, are subtly integrated in Photoshop, keeping visible the traces of the pigments and the irregularities of the original support. Each image functions as a small aerial map, where nature intertwines with textures and surfaces, proposing a visual route that lies between documentation and invention.
El interés de la serie reside en mirar la fotografía desde una perspectiva pictórica. Se busca potenciar la corporeidad de las imágenes, resaltar las marcas materiales y acentuar los contrastes de luz y sombra, de densidad y vacío. El papel elegido —Hahnemühle Torchon de 315 g— refuerza esta dimensión táctil, con una textura que remite tanto al grano del papel de acuarela como a la rugosidad del musgo y las superficies naturales evocadas en las composiciones.
Dentro de este conjunto, destaca la obra construida a partir de una fotografía de una pieza de carbón, posteriormente intervenida digitalmente. Esta pieza fue seleccionada y presentada en PHotoESPAÑA 2024, con MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico.

The interest of the series lies in looking at photography from a painterly perspective. The aim is to enhance the corporeality of the images, highlight the material marks and accentuate contrasts of light and shadow, of density and emptiness. The chosen paper — Hahnemühle Torchon 315 g — reinforces this tactile dimension, with a texture that evokes both the grain of watercolor paper and the roughness of moss and the natural surfaces suggested in the compositions.
Within this group, the work constructed from a photograph of a piece of coal, subsequently digitally intervened, stands out. This piece was selected and presented at PHotoESPAÑA 2024, with MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico.
